), the genus
Ercolania
is characterized by the following features: Presence of cerata, which are fusiform or inflated; digitiform rhinophores, which are circular or slightly flattened in cross-section; elongate or inconspicuous reno-pericardial prominence; presence of sabot-shaped teeth; presence of a curved penial stylet; probably absence of albumen gland in the cerata.
