Coeliccia suoitia Dow, 2016 ( Figs 14f , 16f , 17f , 19f , 20c , 21a , 22d , 28d ) Specimens examined: 2 ♂♂ , Da Lat, Lam Dong Prov. (appr. 11.936N , 108.382E ; alt. 1300 m asl.), 16 iv 2016 , TK leg; 1 ♂ , 1 ♀ , same location and collector, 23 xii 2015 . Description of female. Head ( Fig. 14f ). Upper third of labrum dark brown, remainder yellowish brown, base of mandibles whitish, anteclypeus whitish blue with two blackish spots on its lower margin. Postclypeus shiny black. Genae greenish yellow, this color continuing a third inward over the antefrons above the postclypeus, remainder of frons matte black. Dorsal surface of head matte black, apart from two irregular yellowish green lines from the edge of the compound eyes to the lateral ocelli, interrupted behind the antennae, and two large rhomboid blue postocular spots. Antennae black, top of first segment and base of second segment pale grey. Compound eyes in life blackish brown dorsally, green below, with a thin blue line separating the two halves posteriorly. Thorax. Prothorax ( Figs 16f , 17f , 21a ): black with irregular pale blue spot laterally on the middle pronotal lobe and lower half of propleuron white. The posterior pronotal lobe with a basal yellow brown subtriangular mark and with a broad flattened ridge smoothly rounded along posterior edge, but laterally with broad-based elongated horns ( Fig. 21a ). The broad ridge with horns covers and obscures a small lapel on either side. Synthorax ( Figs 19f , 20c ): mesepisternum black, with a distinct bluish yellow antehumeral stripe along almost its complete length. Mesepimeron black with a small blue spot on its postero-dorsal corner. Mesinfraepisternum black with some white adjacent to coxae. Metepisternum bluish yellow, but narrow black line over metapleural suture. Metepimeron and metinfraepisternum pale yellow. Venter whitish, metaposternum covered in short, rearward directed setae. Legs: coxae and trochanters pale yellow. Femur and tibia grey with black lines, remainder, claws and spines dark grey. Wings . Hyaline, 18 Px in FW, 16 in HW. Pt brown, covering 1 cell. Abdomen ( Fig. 28d ). S1 white below with posterior margin and dorsum narrowly black; S2 black dorsally and pale below, with apical black ring; S3–6 blackish brown with a blue basal half ring interrupted dorsally and paler below; S7 blackish brown with pale blue subapical latero-ventral spot; S8–9 blackish with clear cut yellow dorsal spot towards posterior margin; S10 black ( Fig. 22d ). Anal appendages ( Fig. 22d ). Cerci black, just over half as long as S10, ovipositor black, extending the length of S10 beyond S10, with dorso-apical pale spot. Measurements (in mm). HW 28; abdomen incl. appendages 41. Differential diagnosis. The extraordinary shape of the posterior pronotal lobe of the prothorax of the female of C. suoitia is unique in Vietnam . Many species have horns or variously shaped extensions centrally on the posterior margin, but none have broad-based elongated horns placed at the lateral margins of the posterior pronotal lobe. This makes identification straightforward. It has a field of short setae on the metaposternum, although not as dense as described by Dow (2016) for the male. Remarks. Although the male has very unusual conical horns on the dorsum of the middle pronotal lobe of the prothorax, such structures are absent in the female.
