Diagnosis.
Cryptogonus nepalensis bhutanensis
superficially resembles the subspecies,
C

nepalensis nepalensis
Bielawski, 1972
, but it can be separated from the latter by the color pattern of the elytra (
Figs. 3
a–c) and the apex of the penis guide (
Fig. 3f
). In
C. n. bhutanensis
, base and apex of the elytra is rather widely black (
Fig. 3c
), penis guide feebly curved outwards in lateral view (
Fig. 3e
), while in
C
.
n.
nepalensis
, only the base of the elytra is widely black and penis guide nearly straight.
