With the exception of the dubious type locality from Liberia in West Africa, this species is widespread across Central Africa, from Cameroon to the Democratic Republic of the Congo . In Equatorial Guinea it has been recorded in Río Muni at Bata ( Brygoo & Roux-Estève 1983 ) ( Map 15B ). Comments. A specimen from Bata is drawn in Brygoo & Roux-Estève (1983) , labelled as MNHN 90.359 and housed in the French National Museum of Natural History (MNHN). Specimens examined. No specimens of this species have been found in the examined collections.
