Callipia constantinaria
Oberthür, 1881
Figs 43–44
,
59
Assigned BIN: BOLD:AAD6679.
Diagnosis
The yellow blotch on the forewing is the smallest among all species of the
constantinaria
group. The male genitalia of the
holotype
are lost, but male genitalia are very similar among all species in the group. COI-barcode: the minimum observed distance to the genetically most similar species (
C.brenemanae
) is 3.9%. The most reliable identification method appears to be through DNA barcoding.
