Forewing with a small spot on basal intercostal area and with one long and one short stripe before and after pterostigma; basal third of wing with several small spots and 3–4 large spots; median transverse band diffuse and composed of several spots from C to Cu; apical margin with several marks along longitudinal veins and more or less connected with each other. Hindwing similarly marked, but basal half mostly hyaline, median transverse band subquadrate, extending from C to Cu. Veins pale brown except for costal crossveins dark. Rs 5branched, R2 apically 3branched, R3 and R4 curved backward at tip; 3 crossveins between R1 and Rs; M 2branched; 1A 2branched.
Abdomen dark. Male tenth tergum (

Etymology.
The specific epithet
nigris
refers to the entirely black head of the new species.
Distribution.
China
(Fujian Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang).
Remarks.
The new species seems to be closely related to
N. rotundatus
Tjder
and
N. sinensis
in having the similar aedeagus with the apex somewhat inflated in lateral view, but can be easily distinguished from the black head, more complicated wing pattern and broad gonapophyses with the tip acutely produced. In
N. rotundatus
, the median transverse band is much lighter and cloudy (
Tjeder, 1937
). In
N. sinensis
, the gonapophyses is subtrapezoidal with the tip rounded (
Kimmins, 1954
).
