To provide readers with some appreciation of the intraspecific variation a description of the male listed above and images of its copulatory organ ( Figs 25 C, 26 C) are given. Description. Male : Body and eye measurements: Carapace length 7.0, maximal carapace width 4.8 , anterior width of carapace 2.9 , opisthosoma length 10.2 , opisthosoma width 3.6 . Eyes: AME 0.37 , ALE 0.43 , PME 0.44 , PLE 0.44 , AME–AME 0.16 , AME–ALE 0.04 , PME–PME 0.22 , PME–PLE 0.34 , AME–PME 0.61 , ALE–PLE 0.39 , clypeus height at AME 0.86 , clypeus height at ALE 0.76 . Cheliceral furrow with three promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Spination: Palp: 131 , 0 10, 1101 (all spines less than half as long as those on palpal femur); legs: femur I 566 { 555 }, II 556 { 566 }, III–IV 555 ; patella I–IV 000; tibia I–II 3038 , III 3034 , IV 3036 { 3035 }; metatarsus I–IV 3035 . Measurements of palp and legs: Palp 8.5 [ 3.2 , 1.4 , 1.1 , 2.8 ], I 57.4 [ 15.1 , 3.2 , 15.7 , 16.5 , 6.9 ], II 46.3 [ 12.7 , 2.9 , 12.2 , 13.0, 5.5 ], III 32.2 [ 9.5 , 2.2 , 7.9 , 8.8 , 3.8 ], IV 48.5 [ 13.2 , 2.6 , 12.6 , 14.2 , 5.9 ]. Leg formula: 1423 . FEMI+MTT-I/CL= 4.51 . Thus, legs short to medium-sized. In males of the himalayanus -group this value is usually slightly higher (on average ca. 5 ). Palpal femur without modification and virtually straight. Intraspecific variation of male copulatory organs: This male only shows slight differences to the paratype male ( Bayer 2012 , figs 48 a–d, 50 f, 85 n). In comparison to the paratype male the position of the conductor of the present male seems slightly shifted retrolaterally ( Figs 25 C). The shape and position of the embolus is similar to that of the paratype male. Colouration. As described in Bayer ( 2012 , p. 94 ) , but in the new male the lateral bands on carapace are not distinctly narrow (ca. 1.25 diameter of PME). Distribution. Laos , Thailand .
