Diagnosis.
Mirinae
with glassy and transparent hemelytra, having reduced or even absent veins, frequently smooth, a line of deep and wide punctures being present in numerous genera along claval and embolio-corial sutures, the membranous wings and abdomen easily visible in dorsal view at least under the endocorium. Evaporative area large, reaching “dorsad of ventral margin of mesepimeron” (
Schwartz, 1987: 47
). Dorsal surface generally rugose.
