Remarks.
Collected on several occasions from
Widdringtonia
(African cypress,
Cupressaceae
), in the
Cape region
(
Wood & Bright 1992
). It is a unique species in its variegated confused interstrial setae of variable length. However, it has split setae on the metaventrite and first abdominal ventrite as in other
Diplotrichus
species.
