Brasilia. Unspecified series. Saussure & Humbert (1872) gave a more detailed redescription, stating that the original description was based on three fragments of a ♂ collected by Natterer. No specimens found in the MHNG. The holotype is in the NHMW (Inventory number 2523/2532, Acquisition number 1866.I.92). The specimen was reviewed by Hoffman, who illustrated the head and left gonopod ( Hoffman, 1968a ). This specimen has two inventory numbers because it was also described as Alogostreptus nattereri Attems, 1950 , making the latter a junior synonym of U. cultratus ( Humbert & Saussure, 1870 ) .
