• Very small, flowerfeeding marsupial, specializing on nectar and pollen; long pointed snout, reduced dentition, long digits (some fused) with nails, and females up to twice as heavy as males.
• 15-20 cm.
• Australasian Region.
• Heathlands and shrublands of coastal sand-plains.
• 1 genus, 1 species, 1 taxon.
• No species threatened; none Extinct since 1600.
