Specimens of the OM:—The OM of the name
T. floribundum
consists of a single gathering divided and mounted on two herbarium sheets. On Plate LXXIV, plants from both sheets were put together and photographed as a single plant but there were two rosettes overlapping. On both sheets, there are late sciomorphic plants, not satisfactorily prepared, and later damaged by instects. Achenes are very small, with a short cone, pollen is present and irregular in the remnants of florets.
Conclusion:—The quality of plant material does not allow any clear interpretation; we tentatively suggest they might belong to
T.
sect.
Taraxacum
(=
T.
sect.
Ruderalia
). The name itself is considered as a
nomen damnabile
.
