From depressa (Latin= low) for the flattened body. Diagnosis. This species is distinguished from all other Ocnosispa by the crenulate apical margins, the flattened body, and the suture between abdominal sterna one and two which is obsolete in middle. Description . Dark reddish­orange; elytra with diffuse black markings. Head: vertex with medial carina, punctate; frons not angulate; small tooth present between antennal bases. Antenna: antennomere I transverse; II­VI cylindrical; VII­X transverse; XI bluntly pointed at apex; I­VI with scattered setae; VII­XI setose; II wider than III. Pronotum: lateral margin sinuate for basal, angulate in middle, then sinuate and converging to apex; each anterior angle with large, blunt tooth; posterior angle acute; disc convex; surface sparsely, coarsely punctate; small transverse basal impression present; pronotal length 1.1 mm ; pronotal width 1.6 mm . Scutellum: quadrate; alutaceous. Elytron: expanding to apex; lateral margin sparsely serrate; apical margin crenulate; exterior apical angle laminate with small recurved tooth; humerus prominent, angulate; with 10 rows of punctures plus short scutellar row; tricostate, 2nd costa most pronounced; elytral length 5.4 mm ; elytral width 2.6 mm . Venter: pro­, meso­, and metasterna orangish­red and smooth medially, black­aeneous and rugose laterally; suture between abdominal sterna 1 and 2 obsolete in middle. Total length: 6.9 mm .
