Cystidicola lepisostei
Hunter & Bangham, 1933
sp. inq.
On the basis of its cephalic structures
Ko & Anderson (1969)
considered this species to belong to
Cystidicola
. The specimens were recovered from the intestinal lumen rather than the swim bladder so it is likely they were from a salmonoid fish ingested by the host. Ko & Anderson (
op. cit
.) regarded it as a
species inquirendum
. Site: intestinal lumen
Host:
Lepisosteus osseus
Distribution:
Ontario
