COMMENTS: Mathews cited his catalog number of the
holotype
in the original description. In addition to Hill’s original label, the
holotype
bears Mathews and Rothschild type labels and a ‘‘Figured’’ label, indicating that the specimen was illustrated in
Mathews (1923a
: pl. 506, lower left fig., opp. p. 156, text p. 165), where it was confirmed as the type of
hecla
. Mathews cataloged the single specimen.
