Fig. 2A–B . Distribution :— India , Nepal , Myanmar , China , Taiwan , Thailand , Malaysia , Indonesia , Timor, and Philippines . Introduced to Senegal and Burkina Faso . Ecology :—Roadsides or in sunny places of evergreen, lower montane oak mixed with dry dipterocarp, dry evergreen, and mixed deciduous forests; 50–1300 m elev. Phenology :—Flowering in September–December. Fruiting in September–February. Notes :—Although, Sohmaea laxiflora is a common species in southeast Asia, but it has never been reported from Cambodia . There are two syntype duplicates of D. macrophyllum Desv. kept at P. The samples of each duplicate were mixed between S. laxiflora and Ototropis megaphylla (Zoll. & Moritzi) H.Ohashi & K.Ohashi. The first duplicate (P02937969) consisted of two leaves of O. megaphylla , mounted on the left side of the sheet. A leaf and inflorescence with flowers and young fruits of S. laxiflora are on the middle and right side of the sheet. The second duplicate (P02937970) consisted of a twig with three leaves and inflorescence (with flowers and young fruits) of O. megaphylla , covering the most part of the sheet, while inflorescence with flowers and young fruits of S. laxiflora are mounted on the right side.
