Celmisia incana Hooker (1853: 123) . Type:— NEW ZEALAND . Northern Island, Ruahine Range, 1847, W. Colenso 55 in Herbarium Hookerianum ( lectotype K 882084 [image!] designated by Allan 1961: 622 ). Notes:— Allan (1961) lectotypified C. incana from a single sheet at Kew (K, Herbarium Hookerianum) with two collections by W. Colenso. Colenso 201 (Mt. Hikurangi, K 882083 [image!]), and Colenso 55 (K 882084). For the latter (selected lectotype ), there is no mention of locality other than “ New Zealand ”. Nevertheless, Allan (1961: 622) indicated the Ruahine Range.
