This species is similar to C . putoria and C . rufifacies , but lacks a proepisternal seta. Distribution. This species was found near Calibishe, Dominica (TW); Dear (1985) listed it from Puerto Rico . Discussion. Wells and Sperling (1999) debated if Chrysomya albiceps and C . rufifacies are each a valid species since they appear very similar. They concluded they are recently evolved separate species.
