Type locality: Island of Lill-Krokan , Hiitis (Hiitinen archipelago), SW Finland . Approx. lat. 59 o 53’ 55” N , long. 23 o 19’ 45” E . Type specimens: Repository of name-bearing type specimens unknown ( Karanovic 2012 ). Diagnosis: Female: carapace subtriangular in lateral outline, valves left-right asymmetrical in shape, posterodorsal margin in LV with a distinct convex break in slope between an upper and a lower (steeper) segment, in RV with an equivalent but weakly developed break in slope or a single continuous slope; posterodorsal flaps of both valves with distinct lobate expansions which may be finely denticulate or smooth; mandibular palp with four long setae on inner side of the second podomere. Male: carapace outline in lateral view with a continuously convex posterodorsal outer margin between the dorsal point of maximum height and the posterior extremity; anteroventral bulbous flange partially overhanging the ventral outer margin in both valves, short in RV and long in LV; mandibular palp with four long setae on inner side of the second podomere; right fifth limb endopodite with a long straight distal part forming a wide acute gape angle (c. 50 o ) with the proximal part; left fifth limb endopodite with a lanceolate distal part forming a very wide acute gape angle (c. 70 o ) with the proximal part; hemipenis with bilobate lateral lobe and an M process with a flattened termination.
