Ptychoglossus brevifrontalis
is widespread in,
Amazonia
, occurring in
Brazil

Colombia

Ecuador
, and
Peru

). In
Colombia
, it also occurs in forested areas adjacent to the Llanos.

also reported it from Suriname,
