Neotype (designated here):— FRANCE . “ Biscutella polyclada Jord. , (1) de Nyons (Drôme) 1864, 5236 (9020) série, m.j. 16 mai/ juin 1866 ˮ (handwriting) leg. and det. A . Jordan ( LY0010067 !; iso- : LY0010068 !, MPU023101 !). = Biscutella lima Rchb. Note: according to the notes and seedling notebooks, this species was grown in the garden as early as 1858, from a gathering made in 1857 in Nyons. This sowing was regularly studied by A. Jordan at least until 1864 under the number 951, without making any new sowing. Therefore this plant remained alive in the garden at least until this date. From the exsiccata that could be found, it is clear that a new gathering of this species was made in 1864 in the original station. It is not known whether the first plant died or if the author aimed to study additional specimens; anyway, he did not mount any herbarium specimen from this species until 1866. At least three gatherings were made from plants grown precisely from the one collected in Nyons in 1864: 5237 (9021) série, 5238 (9022) série et 5236 (9020) série. Those plants, as the first one, never lead to any sowing.
