could be found for this species in the numerous collections studied. As this group is endemic and vicarious, the selected
neotype
(Marseille) belongs in A. Jordan’s point of view to
B. stricta
and not to
B. mediterranea
. However, French populations from Mesomediterranean level being morphologically homogenous at least from Narbonne to Toulon, one can reasonably follow M. Gandoger and admit this typification as consistent in practice, although it is not, according to the ideas of the author.
