Dermacentor halli MacIntosh, 1931 . Nearctic: 1) Mexico (north), 2) USA ; Neotropical: 1) Mexico (south) ( Apanaskevich & Bermúdez 2013 , Guzmán Cornejo et al. 2016, Guglielmone et al. 2021 ). Apanaskevich & Bermúdez (2013) stated that the figures of Dermacentor halli in Yunker et al. (1986) correspond to Dermacentor panamensis . Records of Dermacentor halli from Costa Rica , Guatemala and Panama were all reclassified as Dermacentor panamensis by Apanaskevich & Bermúdez (2013) , confirming the view of Fairchild et al. (1966) , who found morphological differences between Dermacentor halli specimens collected in Central America and those found in North America.
