Peritremes in soft cuticle connecting gnathosoma and idiosoma (distally free or as anterolateral projections in

), completely or partly chambered (striated proximally and chambered distally in
Neocheylus
); legs with pretarsi stalked, annulated, bearing a pliable empodium without claws (but present in some
Pseudocheylus
) (
