Diagnosis.

90–130 mm

4–6 mm
. No. segments 125–150. Colour yellowish-brown, somewhat darker on the dorsum. Clitellum ½15–26, ½27, saddle-shaped. Tubercles long bands on ½20, 20–26. Muscular gizzard in 6, calciferous glands composite-tubular, eight pairs in 7–14. Typhlosole large ribbed tube. Hearts in 10–11, oesophageal. Testes and funnels in 10, 11, enclosed in perioesophageal testis sacs. Seminal vesicles in 11, 12, large. Spermathecae three pairs in 6/7–8/9, ampoule irregular sac-shaped, duct short. Genital setae 1.15 mm long, 0.06 mm in diameter, blunt, with 6–7 crescentic indentations (

).
Remarks.
This is the first report of
M. (B.) helleri
from
French Guiana
. Our material fits the original description. The only difference is found in the shape of the spermathecae, which are more elongated in the original material from
Suriname
but more rounded in our specimens.
