Remarks. The specimen agrees well with the most recent published account (Ahyong 2001). Morphometric measurements are within the known range of this seldom reported species (CI 271, anterior carapace width 0.64 CL, A1 peduncle length 1.01 CL, A2 scale length 0.73 CL). Abdominal spination in the present specimen is as follows: submedian 5– 6, intermediate 1–6, lateral 1–6, marginal 1–5. Distribution. Eastern Indian Ocean to Australia , New Caledonia , Indonesia , Vietnam , Taiwan , Japan , Hawaii and now from the Philippines ; 42– 120 m .
