Eastern Pacific and worldwide distribution . It has been reported from 44 to 49°N in the Kurushio Current zone of influence; SE Gulf of California (present study; Fig. 2 ). Circumtropical (Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans; Mediterranean Sea) ( Vinogradov et al . 1996 ), especially in warm waters ( Zeidler & de Broyer 2009 ). FIGURE 2 . A male of 14 mm in length and three small immature females were identified by the distinctive features of the pereopod 5, namely their short dactylus and the slender propodus, which is about one third the length of carpus.
