Distribution and habitat. Montane forests of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia: rare, but uniformly distributed, terrestrial in shaded places growing on humus. Note. This species belongs to Peperomia subg. Micropiper (Miq.) Miq. ( Frenzke et al. 2015 ). Specimen examined. Peru, dept. Cajamarca, prov. San Miguel, dist.
