Diagnosis : Dorsal shield oval (L/W ratio 1.1), without a medial depression; muscle scars not pronounced, visible only as lightly whitish areas ( Fig. 37B ); colour of dorsal shield blue green, well visible on mounted specimens; gnathosomal bay Y-shaped; tips of Cx-I ending posterior to frontal margin; coxae with a series of longitudinal striae (three to four pairs on Cx-IV). Palp ( Fig. 2D ): P-1 with a dorsal seta; P-2 with straight ventral and convexly bowed dorsal margin; P-3 proximally with an inflation, distally straight, maximum height proximally; P-4 slender and curved, ventral margin concave. Legs: I-L ( Fig. 2E ) with I-L-6 L/H ratio 2.8–2.9, basally narrowed, distally thickened; IV-L: Fig. 2F ; swimming setae numbers: III-L-4, 4–6; III-L-5, 5–6; IV-L-4, 5–6; IV-L-5, 6–7. Discussion : Djeboa amendano sp. nov. is characterized by a dorsal shield without a medial depression, and muscle scars visible only as a lightly whitish areas. It is similar to Djeboa curtipalpis sp. nov. from Ghana (see the latter for further discussion). Distribution : Madagascar .
