Sedlacek, Bishop Museum ( BPBM ). DESCRIPTION — MALE: Body length 2.7-3.3 mm . Head and mesosoma black; metasoma dark castaneous. Head (Figure 7). Mandible with four apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe subtrapezoidal; median tooth rounded, outlined by carina; median carina absent or when present, distinctly incomplete apically and straight in profile. Frons strongly coriaceous. Mesosoma. Pronotal disc with anterior margin carinate, strongly coriaceous. Metapectal-propodeal complex with lateral and posterior areas carinaste. Metasoma (Figure 103). Tergal process with deep, circular and sublateral pair of depression, 0.37 x as long as tergite II, parallel, with small and thin setae on anterior and lateral areas; each depression with small tubercle on its inner area, conical in longitudinal section, low, entirely dorsad, with small pit on top, with small few setae dorsad. Hypopygium (Figure 197) with median stalk evenly narrow, 1.1.0 x as long as hypopygial plate; lateral stalk triangular; posterior margin straight or nearly so. Genitalia (Figures 304-305; 564). Basal margin of paramere with rounded projection. Aedeagal dorsal body with apex lower than parameral apex, evenly wide. Aedeagal ventral ramus with apex lower than aedeagal dorsal body apex, slightly bifurcated on apical region; apical region subangled and smooth. Genital ring slightly produced, each half straight in dorsal view. FEMALE: Unknown. ETYMOLOGY — The noun in apposition ananas means pineapple in Tok Pisin.
