Four species have been reported from Africa: H. cholopis Meyrick from South Africa , H. hemigastra Meyrick from Uganda , H. pancrocopa Meyrick from the Democratic Republic of the Congo , and H. subpallida Meyrick from Cameroon . Janse (1954) described H. lophophora from Pretoria, South Africa , but the species was later synonymized with H. cholopis Meyrick by Gozmány (1978) .
