Diagnosis : Dorsal shield oval (L/W ratio 1.1–1.2), with medial depression; muscle scars with strongly pronounced thickenings ( Figs. 37I –J ), located at nearly equal distance anterior and posterior to the postocularia; gnathosomal bay V-shaped; tips of Cx-I slightly extending beyond frontal margin; medial margin of Cx-IV reduced to a median angle, posterior margin of Cx-IV directed postero-laterally. Palp ( Figs. 5D–E ): P-1 with a dorsal seta; P-2 strongly inflated, in proximal part with strongly protruding dorsal margin forming a more or less pronounced acute angle; P-3 much higher proximally than distally, ventral margin slightly concave, dorsal margin strongly convex; P-4 slender, basally thickened, from here to anterior tip equally narrowed. Etymology : This epithet is based on the Latin adjective angulatus (with angles) and refers to the shape of dorsal margin of P-2. Discussion : Due to the tips of Cx-I extending slightly beyond ventral shield and distal segments of IV-L noticeably shorter and more stocky, D. angulipalpis sp. nov. is most similar to D. mandena sp. nov. (see there for discussion of differences). Distribution : Eastern Madagascar , recorded from lentic areas in streams in rain forest and coastal dry forest in the northern and southern part.
