Diagnosis
: Dorsal shield oval (L/W ratio 1.1–1.2), with medial depression; muscle scars with strongly pronounced thickenings (
Figs.
37I
–J
), located at nearly equal distance anterior and posterior to the postocularia; gnathosomal bay V-shaped; tips of Cx-I slightly extending beyond frontal margin; medial margin of Cx-IV reduced to a median angle, posterior margin of Cx-IV directed postero-laterally. Palp (
Figs. 5D–E
): P-1 with a dorsal seta; P-2 strongly inflated, in proximal part with strongly protruding dorsal margin forming a more or less pronounced acute angle; P-3 much higher proximally than distally, ventral margin slightly concave, dorsal margin strongly convex; P-4 slender, basally thickened, from here to anterior tip equally narrowed. Legs: I-L (
Fig. 6A
) with I-L-6 stout, L/H ratio 2.0–2.2, ventral margin in proximal third forming an obtuse angle, from here to tip slightly convex; II-L-6 (L/H ratio 2.3–2.7), III-L-6 (L/H ratio 3.0–3.3) and IV-L-6 (L/H ratio 3.2–3.6) thickened; IV-L:

Etymology
: This epithet is based on the Latin adjective
angulatus
(with angles) and refers to the shape of dorsal margin of P-2.
Discussion
: Due to the tips of Cx-I extending slightly beyond ventral shield and distal segments of IV-L noticeably shorter and more stocky,
D. angulipalpis
sp. nov.
is most similar to
D. mandena
sp. nov.
(see there for discussion of differences).
Distribution
: Eastern
Madagascar
, recorded from lentic areas in streams in rain forest and coastal dry forest in the northern and southern part.
