Haitlinger and Šundić (2015) synonymized E . ( Z .) ueckermanni with E . ( Z .) budapestensis Fain & Ripka, 1998 . They considered the different tibial setal formula for E . ( Z .) budapestensis as intraspecific variation based on specimens collected from Albania , Bulgaria , Croatia , Greece , Montenegro , Serbia , Turkey , and Ukraine whereas our investigation (unpublished data) showed that the number of normal setae on the tibiae is species specific and has no range. For this reason, we considered E . ( Z .) ueckermanni as a valid species here.
