Comments. This species occupies very distinct habitats, including springs, permanent and semi-permanent ponds, and littoral areas of rivers up to 147 m asl. The first record for Tunisia is reported by Ferrari (1884) in southern Tunisia (Tamerza, Gébli) under the name Corixa atomaria Illiger, 1807 . Distribution. This species is known from European countries (mostly along sea coasts and in Pannonian lowland in Central Europe), north-western Africa, central Asia, and India ( Jansson 1986 ; Jansson 1995 ; Carapezza 1997 ; Fent et al. 2011 ; Aukema et al. 2013 ).
