Remarks.
The specimens collected were in gamma stage, the biggest with
85.76 cm
2. One specimen was degraded. The spicules had some distinct aspects when compared to descriptions in the literature: tylostyles’ heads were slightly larger than the usual; few tylostyles with heads slightly trilobed, with a small swelling; some tylostyles have an incipient second tyle below the head, resembling polytylotes; and in all spicules, an axial canal is visible.
