Carterodon sulcidens is endemic to the Cerrado, and has been recorded in the Brazilian states of Goias , Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, and in the Distrito Federal ( Ribeiro et al. 2010 , Bezerra et al. 2011 , Bezerra and Bonvicino 2015 a and references therein). Conservation status. The red list of the IUCN ver. 3.1 assigned the category "Data Deficient" to Carterodon sulcidens (see Lacher 2016 ). The species was not included in the official list of threatened species of Brazil ( ICMBIO-MMA 2016 ).
