New Ireland : 2.—General distribution: East Africa east to Marshall Islands and Fiji , north to southern Japan and Ogasawara Islands, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia . Found in coastal and lagoon reefs, including estuaries and mangrove habitats, 5–25 m depth. Transitional water and marine.
