clade-2-pinnate species with copiously scaly rachises, numerous (per pinna) relatively small, short pinnules, and short-creeping rhizomes. Pinnules are relatively small, ca. 2 times longer than wide, with 35–55 pairs per pinna, yellow rounded glands present abaxially.
