Type material Holotype , male, P.R. CHINA : Qinghai, Yushu County, Batang, 3900–4300 m , 16–22.vi.1964 (Shu-yong Wang). Paratypes , P.R. CHINA : 10 males , 11 females , the same data as holotype . Allotype , P.R. CHINA : 1 female , same data as holotype . The specimens are deposited in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China Remarks This species is close to Drymeia aeneoventrosa (Fan, Jin and Wu) , but differs from it by the presence of a conspicuous row of comb-like spines on C vein, with 1 strong pra , notopleuron with hairs, calypters brown or yellowish, different from color of their margins, mid femur with a complete row of av . Etymology The species name is from the Latin words spin- meaning spine and costa meaning brim, referring to the anterior margin of C vein in the male that has a conspicuous row of comb-like spines.
