Female. Body length:

Colour:
head dark brown to black, scape dark brown, pedicellum black, antenna dark brown with eight flagellomeres white, last seven flagellomeres dark brown; mesosoma black, mesoscutum reddish brown,
mesopleuron
dark brown in the middle bottom, venter of mesosoma dark brown; metasoma black; wing veins including stigma dark brown; legs pale yellow.
Head
: vertex smooth; frons smooth with circular striations below the scape, face rugose (
Fig. 7
); malar space shorter than ¼ eye height; temple in dorsal view somewhat narrow and sloping behind eye, width equal to ½ eye width; ocell-ocular distance 1.5–2.5 times greater than diameter of lateral ocellus; 32 flagellomeres.

Comments.
This species is similar to
H. holleyae
Marsh, 2013
, distinguished by the scrobiculate notauli, prescutellar furrow with five cross carinae, by its size which is relatively bigger than other species, and a sinuose anterior transverse groove on tergum II.
Etymology.
The name of this species refers to the location in
São Paulo
state where it was collected.
