Vujić and Radenković; Samos, Pyrgos, 15.04.2011 , 1 male (G0317), leg. Vujić and Radenković; (all in FSUNS ). Comments. The species was originally described from Israel ( Kaplan & Thompson 1981 ) and first recorded for Europe by Speight (2013) , who cites it from Evros province in North Eastern Greece (M. De Courcy, pers. comm.). Later, van Steenis & van Steenis (2014) published a record of a taxon related to B. quadrimaculosa from Samos Island based on one female. They indicated that this taxon differs morphologically from B. vernalis van Steenis & van Steenis and B. quadrimaculosa . After studying a paratype of B. quadrimaculosa (male, Israel , Mongort, 4 March 1976 , leg. A. Friedberg & M. Kaplan, coll. TAU ), it can be confirmed that this specimen does not belong to an undescribed species but is conspecific with B. quadrimaculosa . The diagnostic characters of this species are presented in the key (see below).
