Material examined. Kenya , 2 females , Masai Mara National Park , altitude 1800 m , February 12, 2007 (El-Banhawy). Female: Dorsal shield rugose, 300 long, 195 wide. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 18, j3, j4, j5 28, j6 40, J2 60, J5 12, z2 21, z3 30, z4 33, z5 30, Z4 70, Z5 52, s4 35 , s6 44 , S2 46 , S4 50 , S5 56 , r3 26, R1 40, JV5 30. Setae r3 on lateral integument, R1 on dorsal shield. Dorsal setae except J5 long, thorn-like and arising from tubercles, Z5 serrated. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield, distances between St I-St III 58 , St II-St II 46 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 72 wide. Ventri-anal shield 85 long, 48 wide at level of ZV2, 62 at level of anus, with a tiny pair of pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV2, JV3, ZV2), JV1 off shield. Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrouning ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with three teeth, movable digit with two teeth. Spermatheca calyx elongate 21 long, flared distally, atrium enlarged, 7 long, 4 wide. Macrosetae short and blunt, Sge II 12 ; 12, St III 12 ; 12, St II 12 , Sge III 12 ; 14, Sti III 23 ; 23, St III 23 , Sge IV 16 ; 16, Sti IV 22 ; 20, St IV 30 ; 30. Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 /, 2/1, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1. Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Daressalaam , Tanzania , March 24, 1987 , E. Youssef (El- Banhawy & Abou-Awad, 1991). The male is unknown.
