Polymerus rugulus
(
Ballard, 1927
)
Poeciloscytus rugulus
Ballard, 1927: 64–65
.
Polymerus rugulus
Carvalho, 1959: 239
.
Up to this point only the
holotype
of this species was collected. Now the
holotype
is presumed lost in BMNH. Characters of colouration listed in the original description does not allow unequivocal placement of this species in any genus considered in current paper.
P
.
rugulus
was described on the same page as
P
.
aureus
Ballard, 1927
transferred into
Charagochilus
below. Most likely
P
.
rugulus
also belongs to this genus. The absence of recognised species of
Polymerus
outside of the Palaearctic Region of the Eastern Hemisphere can be taken as evidence that this species to belongs in
Charagochilus
.
