Distribution.
This species is found in northern European Russia and eastern Siberia in the Palaearctic Region (Goulet 2003: 206) and from western Alaska to the western shore of the Hudson Bay in northern Manitoba [see Nielsen et al. 1987: Fig. 17b; Morgan et al. 1986: Fig. 1]. Fossil remnants from the Pliocene or early Pleistocene have been unearthed in northwestern Greenland, Meighen Island, Ellesmere Island, and eastern Siberia (
Boecher
1995: 20).
