Remarks. This species was reported to be restricted to the Chacoan dominion in the Cerrado province ( Ruschel et al . 2023 ). Acanthoventris igneus replaces Dorisiana drewseni in the cicada fauna of Paraguay as the specimens examined here are the same specimens referenced in Sanborn (2011b) . Distribution. The species was known previously only from the state of Goiás , Brazil ( Ruschel et al . 2023 ). The range is expanded here to include the states of Bahia and S ã o Paulo and the Distrito Federal, Brazil and southwestward into Paraguay . Material examined.
