Head (
Fig. 2
A) 1.0 times as long as wide, polygonally reticulate just behind compound eyes at each side. Antennal segment III bit strongly curved to outside, IV with weak apical neck, V–VI not pedicelate (
Fig. 2
B, C). Ratio length/width of antennal segments I to VIII as follows:0.6–0.7,0.9, 2.7–2.9, 3.1–3.9, 2.7–3.0, 4.2, 3.5–4.0, 7.3–10.5.
Pronotum (
Fig. 2
A) 0.7 times as long as wide, almost uniformly reticulate, reticulation longitudinal at middle, with 34–36 discal setae medially. Metascutum with CPS. Fore wing costal vein with21–23 setae, posterior fringe cilia slightly undulating. Tarsi 2-segmented.
Abdominal tergites (
Fig. 2
E, D) with median reticulations not longitudinal; tergites I–VI with submedian areas smooth and no posteromarginal fringe behind median reticulations on I–V; tergites III–VII with about 15 small setae on lateral reticulate areas; tergite VIII with spiracles large, about two-thirds of lateral tergal length; tergite IX with S1 setae not exceeding middle of tergite X; sternites (
Fig. 2
F) with 7–20 discal setae arranged in irregular lines, smooth posteromedially, reticulations almost same size medially and laterally; sternites III–VII each with three pairs of setae at posterior margin, but S1 and S2 setae in front of posterior margin on VII. Ovipositor 1.5–1.7 times as long as median length of pronotum.

Comments.
This new species is similar to
E. borneoensis
in body colour and abdominal sculpture, and in having sterna discal setae and a strongly curved antennal segment III. They are distinguishable by the key above.
