Griveaud leg.; 359 R ; Lecithocera bariella n. sp. , Holotype , P. Viette ; genitalia: prep. P. Viette no. 3529. Adult ( Figs. 6A, B ). Wingspan, 21 mm . The species can be distinguished from its allies by the forewing without distinct marking, but the postmedian band very weakly visible. The male genitalia are similar to those of M. ankasokella , but the cucullus narrowed apically with gently arched outer margin. Abdominal segments ( Fig. 6E ) have dense spinose zones along posterior margin from segment I to VII. Male genitalia ( Figs. 6C, D ): See also the line drawing given by Viette (1958 , Fig. 2 ). Uncus narrowly elongated. Basal plate of gnathos with rounded caudal margin; median process small, with acute apex. Valva deeply concave on costa, with elongated cucullus; ventral margin arched, emarginated at lower corner. Juxta with short, semi-ovate latero-caudal lobes. Aedeagus as long as valva, broadened basally, gently concave on ventral margin medially, dorsal margin produced apically; cornuti consisting of numerous conic spines and double lows of spinules.
