Current name of host : Common Starling, Sturnus vulgaris Linnaeus, 1758 ( Passeriformes : Sturnidae ); Regent Bowerbird, Sericulus chrysocephalus (Lewin, 1808) ( Passeriformes : Ptilonorhynchidae ). Notes : The name Trouessartia corvina may have been applied to several different species of mites from different species of hosts, and the true T . corvina occurs only on Corvidae ( Santana 1976 ) . The published Australian host associations must be considered as questionable.
