Diagnosis.
Antenna variously with 11 flagellomeres, either with 1 anellus and 5 funiculars, 2 anelli and 5 funiculars, 1 anellus and 6 funiculars, or with 1 anellus and 7 funiculars in some males but then with only 2 clavomeres. Pronotum not medially divided (Fig.
89
). Ovipositor sheaths not expanded.
Discussion.
Next generation molecular data (Cruaud et al., submitted) place
Trigonoderopsis
Girault and
Bugacia
Erdos
new placement in
Colotrechninae
, as the sister group of
Colotrechnini
, instead of their previous placements in
Pireninae
or (in the case of
Bugacia
) dubiously in
Ormocerinae
. The reduced antennal flagellum helps diagnose this emergent group, and the relatively large mandible with 4 mandibular teeth may also help diagnose the tribe, although this feature is variable in
Pteromalidae
.
