Remarks.
The female was described from Lebanon (
Platia 2001
), and the male from Syria (
Platia & Gudenzi 2007
). Fresh material is known from the ancient cedar forest of Bcharre. Larvae were found in red-rotten
Cedar
logs, together with larva of
Lacon punctatus
(
Herbst, 1779
)
. Collecting and rearing
Ampedus
larvae resulted three more specimens with the following data: “
